I really love the colors and the way this card came together..

The dress, necklace, bracelet, purse and shoes were not colored but with White Diamond Stickles

BBTB WIMG Challenge

Over at Bitten By The Bug, Regina has posted a challenge for the Walk In My Garden Cartridge
by using the card feature on it to create something..

I tried a couple different views of the card, I just could not get a good picture of the shiny hearts on the cardstock and the sparkling glitter on the heart and wings

I chose love and the card feature and cut it out on DCWV Rockstar paper.. The Heart and Wings are from the circut Solutions Indie Cart, Glitter is Baby Pink Glitter, all paper is DCWV Rockstar except the card base which is CTMH paper. the heart and wings are adhered with mounting foam to give the card some dimension..

Another Card

The kids are in bed, my house is almost clean and I am spending these late hours blogging and making cards.. Yeah Me! Do you see what happens when you do not have access to the Circut Messageboard? LOL
Again, this is a stamp set I have never used. In Full Bloom by Stampin Up (2004)

View of the card laying Flat

Base Card is Blue Cardstock, PP came from a Magnolia Paper Stack given to me by my Secret Brother Blane last year..., Colored the images with Copic Ciao Markers... Green CS is Stampin Up.. On the flower I added Dazzling Diamonds.. On the bee and the flower border I added Ice Stickles (silver ice).. Sentiment is from Stampin Up's Spring Harmony Set

SU One of a Kind Stamp Set

Since I have OCSD (Obsessive Compulsive Shopping Disorder), I decided that I need to reevaluate my stamps and those that have not been used (GASP!) should be used.. Now with my SU stamps that takes some time because alot of my stamps are not mounted(^o^) (the horror, I know)... So I used my One of a Kind set.. (One Stamp set 3 Cards.. a good night...)

I started with a 8.5 x 11 piece of black card stock then cut it in half, I used my scor pal to score and fold the card. I took this yummy paper Autumn Leaves Foofala PP from the Red Black & Creme Line (Piccadilly)and used it as the background. I also stamped the flower image from One of a Kind 4 times.

Bottom Layer, Brown CS with Staz On Black, Jacobean Read, then again on Jacobean Black, and the smallest flower stamp on white CS. On the first 2 layers it is the whole image of the flower, just the Jacobean Red paper turned a bit to show the bottom layer, the jacobean black layer I cut the inner image of the flower, and then the smaller flower stamp was put in the middle of my flower image.

Card #2 (added a black square and a cream square turned to a diamond shape adhered the flowers )

Take # 3 (added some misc. bling that was rak'd to me with no company info..)

Supplies: Provo Craft Black Card Stock for base of Card, Autumn Leaves Foofala PP, 3 Silver brads, Brown CS, SU Ribbon, One of a Kind Stamp Set SU

Cricut Messageboard

I don't know what is going on at the Cricut Messageboard, but ever since I left my computer this afternoon I have not been able to acces Cricut.com, or the Messageboard My computer keeps telling me Internet Explorer Can Not Display Webpage? (What is up with that? Not on any of the 3 Computers I own?) I think I am having withdrawls.. LOL At least I can sit here and Blog to all of you.. Maybe they booted me or my Computer was tired of pulling up that page since I had it set as my homepage and now my computer is on strike? Very Curious.. Maybe I will go back into my craft room after I make Dinner for my 2 children, can you believe they want me to cook for them what do they think I am a Mom or something, the nerve..

Black White & Red Card

I was thinking about this card all last night, I will have to remake one. For me nothing really comes out exactly like I see it in my head.. I am going to have to sketch the card I envisioned. Trial and error right?

This card is made with a black cs base, the white card is glued to the front of the base and only the white card lifts up...

Close up of the flowers, I added dazzling diamonds to them.. the first picture does not do it justice.. I Love Sparkly stuff don't you?

Supplies: Close to My Heart: Black Card Stock, White Daisy Ink
Stampin Up: Dazzling Diamonds, Stamp Set (Flowers & Sentiment) Spring Harmony
Real Red Ribbon, Hodge Podge Book Plate, Snail Adhesive
The Black CS with the stamped image is adhered using Pop Dots giving it a little breathing room between the black and white pieces, I distressed the edges of both black pieces with Making Memories emery board.

Bella Card

This Bella card was made using scraps I have around my desk.

The Bella Stamp was one that I had stamped several times and colored different colors and ways to figure out how I wanted it on a previous card. I used a left over image, some brown scrap card stock, ribbon and rub-ons to complete the card.

Thanks for looking

Here is my submission for the Bitten By The Bug Challenge. You can view the website here, there are some really talented designers on this site.

The Challenge
"Well have I got a great little cut for you....THE POPCORN cut from the TAGS BAGS, BOXES & MORE cartridge..........oooo this cut is so adorable....and the designers all did a wonderful job with their take on this cut. The cut can be found on page 131 of the manual. Don't forget to play along and post your take on this cut in the comments of this thread....Also be looking for a new contest to be posted here sometime this week..."

I cut the Popcorn box on my Expression using fit to page, this cut the Popcorn box to 6 1/4"
using blue cardstock from CTMH
I then cut the Popcorn box a second time at 5 1/4" on white card stock from Provo Craft and embossed it using my cuttlebug, the circles and dots embossing folder

Using my Making Memories eyelet setter I punched holes at the top of the popcorn box on each scallop and then I threaded the white polka dot ribbon through the holes (misc ribbon)

The handle is 11" long and 2" wide I adhered the blue ribbon (from SU) using snail adhesive and then attached it to the inside of the box.
I filled the box with Hersheys Miniature Choclates

Communication Breakdown...
The reason the Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marines squabble among themselves is that they don't speak the same language. For example, take a simple phrase like, "Secure the building."

• The Army will put guards around the place.
The Navy will turn out the lights and lock the doors.
• The Air Force will take out a 5-year lease with an option to buy.
• The Marines will kill everybody inside and make it a command post

Why Rednecks Make Good Soldiers

Dear Ma & Pa:
Am well. Hope you are. Tell brother Walt & brother Elmer the Marine Corps beats working for old man Minch by a mile. Tell them to join up quick before maybe all of the places are filled. I was restless at first because you got to stay in bed till nearly 6 a.m., but am getting so I like to sleep late. Tell Walt & Elmer all you do before breakfast is smooth your cot and shine some things. No hogs to slop, feed to pitch, mash to mix, wood to split, fire to lay. Practically nothing. Men got to shave but it is not so bad, they git warm water.

Breakfast is strong on trimmings like fruit juice, cereal, eggs, bacon, etc..., but kind of weak on chops, potatoes, ham, steak, fried eggplant, pie, and other regular food. But tell Walt & Elmer you can always sit between two city boys that live on coffee. Their food plus yours holds you till noon, when you get fed again. It's no wonder these city boys can't walk much. We go on "route" marches, which the Platoon Sergeant says are long walks to harden us. If he thinks so, it is not my place to tell him different. A "route march" is about as far as to our mailbox at home. Then the city guys gets sore feet and we all ride back in trucks.
The country is nice, but awful flat. The Sergeant is like a schoolteacher. He nags some. The Capt. is like the school board. Majors & Colonels just ride around & frown. They don't bother you none. This next will kill Walt & Elmer with laughing. I keep getting medals for shooting. I don't know why. The bulls-eye is near as big as a chipmunk and don't move. And it ain't shooting at you, like the Higgett boys at home. All you got to do is lie there all comfortable and hit it. You don't even load your own cartridges. They come in boxes.
Be sure to tell Walt & Elmer to hurry & join before other fellers get into this setup & come stampeding in.
Your loving daughter, Gail

P.S. Speaking of shooting, enclosed is $200 towards a new barn roof & ma's teeth. The city boys shoot craps, but not very good.

The Navy Wife
A Navy Wife is no ordinary woman. Operating for months at a time without the companionship or assistance of her husband, she routinely overcomes challenges that would give the average person a nervous breakdown. Part Doctor, part Teacher and part Handyman, she can lavish loving care on a sick toddler, help a teenager with his Algebra homework, and track down a faulty circuit breaker -- all while holding down a full time job. With thirty minutes notice, she can serve breakfast, lunch, or dinner to fourteen hungry Sailors, and still somehow balance her family's meager grocery budget. She can press a set of dress whites to inspection standards, tie a perfect square knot in a military neckerchief, and pack a seabag in the cold hours before dawn. For months at a time, she must settle for letters instead of kisses, emails in place of hugs, and long-distance phone calls in lieu of her husband's touch.

She manages a smile when her Sailor is at sea for the second Anniversary in a row, and accepts the fact that there's a one-in-three chance that he will have to stand Duty on her Birthday. She has learned to stand on a pier and wave goodbye without tears, even when her heart is breaking. To her children, she is Chauffeur, Umpire, Psychologist, Spiritual Advisor, Financial Consultant, part-time Father, Tooth Fairy, Santa Clause, and the Easter Bunny.

To her husband, she is Friend, Lover, Partner, Confidant, and Soul-Mate. She is a patriot. She is the sort of citizen that all of us should be, but so few of us are. She lives with sacrifice, because she believes in the rights and ideals that her husband defends. Although she wears no uniform, she is a part of that defense -- a vital link in the chain of Freedom. Although she wears no medals and will reap no glory on the field of battle, she is a hero in the truest sense of the word. She is a Navy Wife.
