DonorsChoose.org is a simple way to provide students in need with resources that our public schools often lack. At this not-for-profit web site, teachers submit project proposals for materials or experiences their students need to learn. These ideas become classroom reality when concerned individuals, whom we call Citizen Philanthropists, choose projects to fund.
Proposals range from "Magical Math Centers" ($200) to "Big Book Bonanza" ($320), to "Cooking Across the Curriculum" ($1,100). Any individual can search such proposals by areas of interest, learn about classroom needs, and choose to fund the project(s) they find most compelling. In completing a project, donors receive a feedback package of student photos and thank-you notes, and a teacher impact letter.

My Craft area..

Here is what it looks like after making about 4 cards... decisions decisions...paper, stamps to use, ribbon, where did I put the adhesive..darn it I dropped that brad on the floor, oh well I will pick it up later (which does not usually happen, I usually end up sweeping up everything that hits the floor and then in the trash it goes)... crap I need to cut some paper, I have to make room for the paper trimmer... darn it I need more space!

Unity Stamps & My Crafting Area

Here is my first card made using my Unity Stamps... this is a new company where you get the feel of a wood mounted stamp with acyrclic compatibility as well...I have purchased the full mounting set and then received the fanciful dots stamps for free... Needless to say I think they are wonderful and I just placed my second order.. Now to start inking the rest of my new stamps... For those that have family or are into dark, gothic or emo stuff.. I found this wonderful line of stamps at Stampotique by Jill PENNEY and Daniel TORRENTE .. 2 nephews and a niece are into Goth stuff, so I made these cards thinking of my 2 nephews who are 18 and 16..

(Please bare with me, I just purchased this Casio Exilim and I am still getting use to it.. I loved my Fuji Fine Pix camera, but alas it was broken at a Girl Scout Cookie Booth Sale, and I kept the damaged hard to use camera for 6 months after and struggled to take decent photos)

This also fits in with Allison at Stampin When I Can's No Colouring Challenge
