Happy Birthday Amanda!

I can not believe how fast my girls are growing. Not only is Amanda 11 years old she is inches away from being as tall as me, is in the 6th grade and has her first boyfriend. (As much as an 11 year old can have a boyfriend. passing notes hanging out at the Teen Center.) They go to different schools and Amanda is soo busy this year she barely has time for herself..

Happy 11th Birthday Amanda! I love you!
I am so proud of the beautiful young lady you are turning.

Rub Ons

I heard a rumor today that rubons have a shelf life.. Does anyone know if this is true and if so does it vary by company/manufacturer? I have rubons that I have had for a year or longer..
This card is a case of testing the rubons I have had a while.. seems to be nothing wrong with them for now..

Digital Scrapbooking

Jazzed up Laptop

White Vinyl from Kim's Korner
Cut with my Cricut Expression using the Indie Art Cart
my youngest DD wanted a decorated laptop as oldest DD just purchased a pink Laptop with flowers on it. Youngest threw a fit, so I let her pick the images she wanted me to cut and she chose the butterfly and skull and crossbones.. SILLY girl.. We wil lsee how Daddy feels about the butterfly when he comes home because Daddy takes this computer with him when he deploys again.. LOL.. Thanks for looking!

Recent Photos

Aww.. the last days of Summer Vacation have finally passed and school has begun! I am so happy! I will miss the time with my girls but I am also looking forward to more time to myself, I can actually get my house and craft room organized without having to stop every 30 minutes to diffuse a fight, make breakfast, lunch, snack, entertain, drive them somewhere, give them money etc etc. I am sure everyone (almost everyone) in blogland can relate to the never ending wants. needs of children and the joys of Back to School.

AFSS32 - "Fat Ribbon"

Allison's Sunday Challenge, Use your FAT Ribbon. View the entries HERE

This is ribbon, I have had for so long I no longer know where I purchased it from. Rubons, CTMH CS and Get Well was inked on the card using my Design Runner (that I have never used until now).. buckle is from Stampin Up's Hodge Podge kit

I also made this card using rubons and coloring the center of the flower.. This large red ribbon came in a kit I received in July 07 from my Secret Brother Blaine.. (this flower/angle of the card makes the flower look almost like a butterfly)

My Blog according to Wordle

Wordle is a toy for generating “word clouds” from text that you provide. The clouds give greater prominence to words that appear more frequently in the source text. You can tweak your clouds with different fonts, layouts, and color schemes. The images you create with Wordle are yours to use however you like. You can print them out, or save them to the Wordle gallery to share with your friends.

One Sheet Wonder

Ok.. So today I tried something new..
I randomly stamped a 12x12 piece of what CS using my newly acquired stamp set from Close to my heart.. i tried to follow the directions for a OSW (one sheet wonder) but I am obviously terrible about reading directions to follow them when it comes to cutting paper..I have to see and hear as well as read.. Poor me.. (a couple of them I am still going to stamp a sentiment..it is 300am though and I NEED sleep)
Anywho..
What I used..
12x12 White Daisy CS (CTMH) randomly stamped flower images on the paper

Cards

All supplies are Close to my Heart

Scrapbook Pages

Thank you Michelle for letting me come into your house and use your supplies! Michelle put together a 4pg Zoo/Safari themed layout all Close to My Heart supplies for a crop. I of course was late and showed up with just my $ and adhesive. I could not find my Zoo pictures and I had to take the girls to their Photo appointment, we had a Sepia Photo session..

Anywho, as those of you know who visit my blog often, I rarely make scrapbook pages. I know I need to I have umpteen thousand (that is a number like a bazillion, just so you know) photos that need to go into a scrapbook instead of sitting in an envelope from the printer..

Ok so Michelle has 4 pages pre-made to give us ideas of how to put the pages together and has everything precut for us as well. This is my first time doing something like this, going and scrapping with people..is this a CROP?
Well Michelle's pages were great and I stuck to the general idea of her pages and added some things here and there that I have used in card making and or seen on blogs and such.. I am very pleased with my 4 pages (yes there are currently no photos on them).. I am sure I will LOVE them more when I slap the photos on them...
Thanks again Michelle and I can not wait until your next get together.

OMG! Harry Potter

I am so devastated by the news reported today.. Click Here! I have been a very patient fan, a follower, I have read the books watched the movies and short of purchasing all of the memorabilia (DH draws the line) I have Nintendo DS games, PS2 games, Xbox360 games all devoted to HP.. I have planning and setting up my time for November, how I will watch all 5 movies then see the 6th with some friends...then go back and see it again with my kids.. then re-
read the books and probably re-watch the movies....

So why oh why are they torturing me with the delay/push back date of Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince (HP6)... Just for a Summer opening, they should have worked harder to have the movie ready this Summer then!!! I need my HP fix, really really I do.. How dare they tease us with a November date and then switch to Summer 09... I honestly think that NO MATTER when HP6 is released it will be a big box office draw for them... Granted on the plus side, watching the movie next year means that the 2 installment movie of the last book will have less of a gap I still wish I could see the Movie in November..

Maybe Rowlings could appease us and write something to tie everything together.. What are Harry, Hermione, Ron and Ginny's job when they grow up.. We know how many kids they have and what their names are.. I would love more of this type of information.. Is Neville married? Luna? etc etc..

Ok that is my rant about the release date change for HP6 disappointed in some ways, in others I feel I can deal with it.. LOL
