Timberline & Balloon Ride

I'm Baaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaack!!!  (the Shining... you guessed it) Robin here and today, I want to share a couple of layouts.

Who loves camping in the great outdoors?  Seeing the stars, the smell of a campfire, roasted marshmellows... ahhh the tranquility...
Hubby and I purchased a travel trailer this past year. This was our set up on our first adventure.  We are camping at Mountain Stream RV park in Marion, NC.
It was perfect with a mountain stream running directly behind the camper, full of trout and cold mountain water.
I used Close to My Heart paper pack, Timber line.  I think it is perfect for a rustic adventure.  I also used Tim Holtz tattered florals die to cut out the burlap flower.  Did you notice?  I am still using that awesome stamp from the cross stitch wishes set.  I love it so much.  Oh Oh Oh...I almost forgot...that sweet label is from the art philosophy cricut cartridge only available from CTMH.  That is the only cricut cartridge I have from CTMH and it is one of my all time favorites.  I use it all of the time.

I took this picture in 2005 at my daughter's wedding.  It is of my sister and niece.  I have scrapped it so many times, once in my daughter's wedding album, once in my niece's album and now in my sister's album. (Did I ever tell you that I have an album for all of the kids, grandkids, hubby, me, sister and niece?  I do...and I love when they all want to look at their album.)
Moving on, I used papers from the Close to My Heart Balloon Ride paper pack.  I think it is super fun and reminds me of "country" and since my sister is from Kansas and the wedding was in Texas, BINGO...perfect.  I also used some gem flourishes from CTMH.

That is all I have for today... What are your thoughts...Be sure to stop by Robin's Nest:  Scrap out Loud. Leave a comment and let me know you were there!

 Have a blessed day!

Happy Valentines Day

Hellllloooooo There!!!  It's me again Ethel...(ha ha ha...made you think of a Ray Stevens song)...Robin Novak.  Ohhhh MMMMMM GEEEEEE...  I am just a cliche of movies and songs here lately.  Realistically, I'm aging myself...but I'm good with it.
Today, I am sharing some more valentine cards that I made using the Cross Stitch Wishes stamp set from Close to My Heart.

I love the clothes line of hearts.  It just warms my heart and makes me smile.  I think the next time, i will use my markers to have a different color for each heart and maybe trim around the hearts...Ohhh the creative energies are flowing today!

Who doesn't love conversation hearts?  For those of us that are painfully shy, they are a means to communicate without ever saying a word.  :)

In the Cross Stitch Wishes set, there are these cute large cross stitch hearts that were just screaming out for the "conversation" sentiments.  I dug through my stamping stash and found all of these awesome little stamps from all different manufacturer's that worked perfectly.  This is a gate fold card in which the hearts are on one side the the pink and loopy border are on the other.  Unfortunately, you can't tell by this picture, but I popped the red "love" heart up.

Another week gone and a few more things to post in the coming days...Don't forget to check out my blog Robin's Nest:  Scrap out Loud

Have a blessed day!

Wild About Love

 Hey Crafty Bloggers!

How are all of you today? Can you believe it is February already?
Do you have plans for Valentines Day?

I will be celebrating Valentines Day all by myself, maybe I will watch a movie?
I will be thinking of my Husband and sending him Happy Thoughts as he deploys on Valentines Day..

Well let's move along to the project..
I altered a Gift Bag for Valentines Day..

I used a Kraft bag that I purchased on clearance at Target for .18,
a Felt Heart and a sentiment stamp.

Purchase Felt Hearts Here

My Next project is a Valentines Day card, I used a lovely Beaded Angel Stick Pin

Both projects use the February Stamp of the Month
The Card I used a Tim Holtz Embossing Folder on then inked with brown ink lightly
The paper is from CTMH Balloon Ride

Cross Stitch Wishes

Hellllllooooooo There Friends! (Did that just make you think of Mrs. Doubtfire?)

My name is Robin Novak and I am thrilled to be part of the I Heart Stamping with Paper Crafter Anonymous Design Team. For me, this is a dream come true and I hope that I can do the product justice.

I made a few cards using the CTMH January Stamp of the month: Cross Stitch Wishes

When I first started, I didn't have a clear thought of what I wanted to do. I just started stamping the single heart on a 4 x 6 inch piece of white cardstock. I love all of the different colored hearts lined up in this little grid. One thing that I really like about CTMH stamps is they are so user friendly. They are easily conditioned to give the best image possible. They are easily cleaned between colors. Also, since they are clear stamps, you can easily see exactly where you are placing the stamp. I also had some burlap laying around and cut out the burlap flower using the Tim Holtz tattered floral die. The blue flower is from my stash and the leaf is from recollections. The metal flower with the bling is from CTMH and I apologize that I can't recall the exact product information. The pink ribbon stuff is some antique "bias type tape" I found at goodwill years ago. :)

I found the January Stamp of the month to be so versatile and I can foresee using it on more than just Valentine cards. For the this card, I used the Lollydoodle paper line from CTMH for the background paper. I colored the flowers from the cross stitch wishes stamp set with my markers and stamped them at varying heights. The he loves me, he loves me not stamp is from stash and is made by my sentiments exactly. That particular stamp came as one combined stamp and I cut the 2 sentences apart so they would be more versatile, also.

I appreciate you stopping by today and look forward to hearing your thoughts. If you are so inclined, I would love to have you stop by my blog Robin's Nest: Scrap out Loud. Leave me a comment to let me know you were there!

Have a blessed day!

Welcome to the Team!

Hi Friends!!  I'm am so thrilled to be selected as a DT member for I Heart Stamping
 with Paper Crafter Anonymous.
My name is Robin Novak and you can find my blog at http://tqmnurse.blogspot.com.
I am happily married to my best friend, also known as Babe.  We have 4 grown kids (How did that happen so fast?) and 8 (yes, you read that correctly 8) grandchildren.  We are very blessed.  I began scrapping 8 years ago when we were expecting our first granddaughter.  I was so excited and wanted to document her journey.  Who knew that little scrapbook would lead to an obsession with paper crafting?
Apparently, unbeknownst to me, my children were not surprised of my new obsession.  They say I have always been crafty.  Looking back, they are right.  I've always had some project going from altering projects to X stitch (ha ha ha...I couldn't think of a craft starting with the letter Z).
So here I am starting a new adventure of being on a design team for Paper Crafter Anonymous!  WOOOOOO HOOOOO..... Wheeeeee!!!  I think this will be some ride!  I can hardly wait.  Who doesn't love CTMH.  In the coming weeks, I will be sharing some of my creations in hopes that it will inspire you, my friends, into joining the crafty ranks of paper crafting.
Until then, be sure to check out
