Happy Heart Using the Silhouette

Happy Tuesday!
Today I have a fun card to share using negative space.
I cut the hearts on my Silhouette, but instead of using the cut hearts, I used the left over negative space:

I simply pulled out my scraps drawer and glued several different patterns to the backside of the hearts. Then, I stamped the "happy heart" sentiment three times on scraps, cut out and added them to twine to form a banner. It's a fairly simple card to make and you could really use this technique to make any type card.

I used the Ippity stamp set Loads of Love (one of my favorite sets!).
Hope you have a wonderful Tuesday!

Totally Terrific Thursday

Happy Thursday to you!
Once again, I've paired up the
Storyteller Collection by Crate Paper
with Ippity's How You Doin' set.
IPK 143

For the chipboard frame (by Maya Road) I sprayed on a bit of Mister Huey's Real Red by
Studio Calico.  The butterfly centers?  Heather sent a package of goodies and inside were stick pins by Maya Road.  I just snipped off the 'pin' part and glued on the decorative part to the center of each butterfly!
Hope you enjoy today's card :)  See ya'll next week!

Wednesday Wowzer Time

Hello and happy Wednesday to everyone!!  Today I have a card of all cards to share today!
I am using this awesome sketch that Mojo Monday has up.  Sketch # 238.

I am using the set called Dream a Little Dream.

I don't know if you can really see all the detail in this card but...

I have just started learning some new techniques in one of Christy Tomlinson's online classes.

Although I do not have a lot (if any) of the supplies she uses, I improvised on this card.

Also, I made the card out of a piece of transparency paper, so it is really a unique card!

So there you have it...my attempt to WOW you all today!!  How did I do?
I had such a fun time making this card and I hope you enjoyed my post today.
This has been Jeannie from The Polka Cabana with today's "Dream" card!

Tons of Fun Tuesday Angel Card...

Welcome to Tons of Fun Tuesday!
Today I have a new card for you using the Angie Girl Dream With Your Heart Ippity Stamp Set.
I love this set!
I paired it with my favorite embossing powders by Wow Embossing Powder and went to town embossing this card. I used the Angel Wings glitter embossing powder for the background flowers and then added some Ranger Distress Ink to tone down the white. I then embossed the girl in gold and cut her out, cut out a heart and added some flowers to add a bit of interest.
Lastly, I added the whimsical leaves behind her to look like angel wings.
It was quite cloudy in So Cal today, so I had to photo inside.
I can't wait to send this to a friend!
If you haven't grabbed this stamp set run over to the Unity Stamp website and order under Heather! You will love this set!!
Happy Tuesday!

NSV

While in cleaning mode yesterday for the arrival of my Mother.. I was sitting on the floor in my craft room cleaning.. After sitting for a little bit my bum started to hurt I assumed it was because the jeans I was wearing had a button on the pocket and my big ass was smashing said button into my a$$..

So I switched the weight to the other side the same problem.. I ignored it and finished cleaning when I got up I dusted myself off and noticed no there were no buttons on my back pocket..

So what does that mean? I have lost enough weight to feel my ass bone while sitting on the floor.. LOL

I also hit the scales yesterday and weighed in at 180lbs.. So happy for that! That brings my loss to 55lbs. I can't remember if I mentioned my other NSV of being able to cross my legs.. How wonderful it is to sit in a chair or in the car and be able to cross my legs.

Skinny Mocha

Since soda is no longer something I drink, truthfully I have tried a sip here and there and it just tastes horrible, too fizzy and just blah..
I decided to try and have a coffee the other day to warm me up, I was at Target.. So I ordered a Short Mocha.. well after 2 sips I couldn't stand it anymore and gave it to my husband. While I was waiting for my coffee though I picked up the nutritional guide and on the way home read that I could have my coffee SKINNY... so about a week later I went and ordered a SKINNY MOCHA... (I could do without the foam) other than that it was delicious.. Not as sweet asa regular but just fine as a cup of caffeine.. Caffeine that I haven't had since January... I think I may be a little obsessed now.. LOL (I do only get the SHORT, below is the Calories and stuff for a Short Skinny Mocha)
Bittersweet skinny mocha sauce, espresso and steamed non-fat milk, lightly topped with foam.

NSV

While riding around with the Husband doing errands this weekend I noticed that I was sitting in the car with my legs crossed..

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!! (insert angelic singing)

It has been years since I have been able to do more than cross my ankles..
I then proceeded to tell my Husband about my NSV and his response was
"I didn't know you couldn't cross your legs" .. MEN, SMH.. So of course I had to give a snarky response along the lines of no I guess you wouldn't since I never outgrew my tomboyish-ness and sit like a baseball player airing it out after a long game.. How would you notice that I NEVER crossed my legs.. LOL

That Wii Circuit training I did yesterday kicked my butt!
My arms and legs are sore! Sore! Sore!

I will be back at today though, I need these last 47lbs gone and hopefully when I come back from Jamaica I can join the Bootcamp down the street and kick those lbs to the curb!

3 Month follow up tomorrow...
Mom arrives from California Saturday at 1730
Monday we are heading out to Savannah
Thursday is DH's birthday
Tuesdaywe head out to Orlando the day before for some adult fun
before flying out to Montego Bay on the 2nd

Totally Terrific Thursday

It's Thursday...are you ready, Ippity Fans?
Shellye here with a sweet little home decor project today!
I love Maya Road chipboard albums...mainly because you can use them
as the intended album, or remove a page and create
quick and easy wall art or door hangers.  You could also attach them to
a grapevine wreath as a focal point...tons of ideas!

So, for today's project, I took a scalloped chipboard sheet and painted
the base with a buttercream acrylic paint.  After allowing to dry, I inked the edges
with just a bit of walnut ink.  I get asked often what I use for distressing the edges of my
cards, etc.  Honestly, I have the oldest, scruffiest and cheapest ink pad that I use.  It's
down to the felt :)  When I need to reink, I just run the top across another, juicer walnut ink pad.
For the stamped image, I used Bloom & Simplify
IPK-166
I watercolored the floral image and then layered it with patterned papers
I wanted to make this as shabby as possible, so I cut strips of the
patterned paper and then added a zig-zag stitch down the center of each
with my sewing machine.  I added jute around the oval center and tied on the
buttons with thin jute string from May Arts.  After tying on
the seam binding for the hanger, my hanger is complete!

Thanks for stopping by...see you all next Thursday...same time, same place :)
