You are FINtastic!

Good evening my friends! Did everyone enjoy the blog hop this weekend??! I had a great time looking at all of the beautiful work! We had a great time!
Today I have a card I made using the {ippity} set IPK-109 Fishy Philosophy.

This set is so much fun. I'll admit, when I first received it I was unsure of what to do. I realized I could do a lot more with the stamps than I had ever done with stamps before! Isn't that the best part about working with a new set of stamps or stamp? You find that you can do something with that particular set or stamp that you hadn't done before, or tried. :)

I first stamped the fish on white cardstock twice, colored them both in with my Faber Castell markers and then cut out one of the fish. The one I did not cut out was used in my die cut machine with a label die. After using some distress ink around it and adhering it to my patterned paper, I used some pop dots to layer the cut out fish on it. Blue gems were added for bubbles and to dot the   I's in FINtastic as well.

In this view you can see more of the dimension of the fish. If you are someone who knows me well, you know that I was not a card maker until recently and have learned so much recently. It's been nice finding techniques that work well for me. This card is a great example of things that I have learned. I've learned that simple can be a good thing, as well as just a little coloring on your stamps can do wonders! By adding colors similar to my patterned paper to the fish, it makes the stamp flow well with the rest of the card. :)

Thanks so much for stopping by today and have a great week!!
