Happy Monday! Hopefully many of you are enjoying a 3-day weekend like I am. I have been getting inky-is there a better way to spend a day off?
I have a trio of Christmas cards to share with you today. Each card uses exactly the same design and stamps (Gingham Christmas Greetings and Season of Joy), but I varied each slightly by using three different stamping techniques.
Here are the variations:
(Straight stamping, using olive chalk ink on kraft cardstock)
("Rock and roll" technique using olive and lime chalk ink on kraft cardstock-ink the entire stamp with lime ink, then ink just the edges with olive before stamping)
(Paper-piecing, using bits of the image stamped with cherry, olive, and brown chalk ink)
I LOVE that you can change up {ippity} stamps in so many ways. I haven't used the "rock and roll" technique for YEARS, but I love the way it looks with these trees! It adds just a bit of "oomph". :)
I am linking these cards up to the Monday Linky Party over on the {ippity} blog, as well as entering them in the current {ippity} challenge to make holiday cards. Will you be getting inky today, too? Show us what you've got-share it at this week's Linky Party!
