Totally Terrific Thursday

It's Thursday...are you ready, Ippity Fans?
Shellye here with a sweet little home decor project today!
I love Maya Road chipboard albums...mainly because you can use them
as the intended album, or remove a page and create
quick and easy wall art or door hangers.  You could also attach them to
a grapevine wreath as a focal point...tons of ideas!

So, for today's project, I took a scalloped chipboard sheet and painted
the base with a buttercream acrylic paint.  After allowing to dry, I inked the edges
with just a bit of walnut ink.  I get asked often what I use for distressing the edges of my
cards, etc.  Honestly, I have the oldest, scruffiest and cheapest ink pad that I use.  It's
down to the felt :)  When I need to reink, I just run the top across another, juicer walnut ink pad.
For the stamped image, I used Bloom & Simplify
IPK-166
I watercolored the floral image and then layered it with patterned papers
I wanted to make this as shabby as possible, so I cut strips of the
patterned paper and then added a zig-zag stitch down the center of each
with my sewing machine.  I added jute around the oval center and tied on the
buttons with thin jute string from May Arts.  After tying on
the seam binding for the hanger, my hanger is complete!

Thanks for stopping by...see you all next Thursday...same time, same place :)
