I am mainly a card maker, I keep a drawer FULL of cards..

My projects today is a card a gift box filled with taffy. I have a friend who loves quirky things.. So I used the Bump in the Night cartridge to decorate the box with a cute little dino monster.. Ha Ha!! My friend is Japanese and he will love the candy and the Bump in the Night character, I am also sending him some Florida themed items..

I have made a Father's Day card similar to this before, but I just love the design and look so much I had to make one again. I used the Word Collage using the Chomas Pen Holder and a Gel Pen, then I colored in the words with topic markers.

For the inside of the card I printed the sentiment on my computer.

This afternoon this was the view outside my house.. My Daughters love it!

he is a Shaped card.. I love the mustache and his glittered green eye.

This card is one of my favorites!! 

Cricut Imagine - Buccaneer Cartridge - CCR -Cricut Essentials for the Card Base Shape

The Monkey was cut out 2x and then popped with dimensional adhesive

The sentiment inside the card was printed on the computer

This card.. is not the prettiest... It was not at all what I intended however at this point I was having issues with my Imagine and the Toy Story cartridge and cutting..

So I opted to use a Cricut Marker and then I colored Rex with Copics and hand cut him out.

His Name was also created using Cricut Markers and I hand cut them. I then embossed them with and the background of the card with Zing embossing powder just to give it all a little punch. I popped up the name with foam adhesive..

IPK-167 Let Your Heart Take Flight

I altered a notebook with Basic Grey Out of Print Paper

I stamped the winged heart on CTMH White Daisy CS

as well as some Webster's Pages Paper

and on the notebook cover itself.

The heart I used Mod Podge Dimensional Magic

then added some imaginisce bling while it was drying

I colored the Wings with Copic Cool Gray

then I used the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic a paint brush and glitter

For the sentiment I stamped it 2x on White CTMH Daisy CS

the 2nd image I cut only the heart portion out colored with a red topic marker and again added the Dimensional Magic

The Brad is from CTMH I embossed it with red embossing powder

I then used Tattered Angels Mist on the sentiment and adhered it to the

notebook..

***yes I wanted the sentiment to be placed at an angle instead of straight across, it is not an error**

I love that this stamp, 

"It's Raining Happy" 

reminds me of those fun pincushions that my grandmother used to have!

(you know, the ones that look like a tomato?)

 

So I guess I couldn't help but make the umbrella red with a green top...

I thought it would look great against the light blue sky and white clouds tinted with yellow.

Patterned papers by My Mind's Eye Lime Twist

 

I cut the clouds with my eCraft, then highlighted the edges with a light yellow distress ink.  

I trimmed the smaller cloud with Caribbean baker's twine.

For the umbrella, I hand-sewed on sead beads to represent the rain drops!

This is about as clean-and-simple as I get LOL
